Email Marketing - Do Safelists Work?

If you are reading this article then there probably is a good chance that you have just started building your email list or you may be building it for some time. I have been trying different methods of advertising to see which ones work the best.

One of the reasons that I started using safelists is that I finished the ebook Carbon Copy Marketing by Mike Filsaime. In the ebook he tells his amazing story of how he built his business using safelists. He was guy in charge of marketing and advertising for a very big car company. So in a sense he had an advantage compared to most people because he was already good at sales and marketing. He only needed to apply it to the internet medium.

Now what really is interesting is that he did not have time for complicated search engine tactics so he only marketed his business through email advertising namely safelists. He does admit that he got burnt a few times when his account was nearly closed for spamming - this was because he was doing bulk emailing without permission before he discovered safelists.

One of the services he recommends is Ipostads. I registered for this and was really disappointed in the results. It submits to approximately 3000 safelists containing millions of email addresses. Unfortunately very few people actually read the adverts as their email accounts are filled with spam. My recommendation is that you are better off spending your money on a solo ad in a targeted ezine.
