Email Marketing - Email Marketing Programs That Work

Email marketing has been given a bad name recently. It seems that anyone who has received an email lately has been a victim of SPAM, (an unsolicited bulk email). SPAM has given email marketing a bad name. And, because there is a virtual war on SPAM being waged every day, it is difficult for legitimate messages to get through the solid walls of SPAM blocker software programs. If you are an email marketer, this could pose a problem however the following hints will help you find success in an email campaign.

• Make sure your recipients opt-in to your email campaign. This customer approval can be achieved in a number of ways, but the most effective is to ask them if it is okay when they visit your site.

• Provide engaging email content that will actually teach the recipients something. Perhaps you are selling cosmetics online, consider sending your customers email tips about the latest skin care techniques or the newest anti-aging foundation. An email that gives them some helpful advice will be a welcome addition to their inbox.

• Provide a special offer. Exclusivity is a wonderful way to draw customers to their website. Private email offers let them know that they are a special clientele. They are elite and have the privileges that go along with that elite status.

• Ask their opinion about your service. Email campaigns are a perfect way to get some input on how you are doing. People like to think that their opinion matters. Give your customer the opportunity to mold your business.

While email-marketing campaigns are often a difficult venture, when done tastefully and properly, they can be an effective tool in your Internet marketing arsenal.
