3 Tips On Writing An Autoresponder SeriesThere's an old saying that goes like this. "The money is in the list" or at least so they say. Well, the truth is, many successful marketers make their money off of their list. The key, however, is in how you communicate with your list. That communication takes the form of the autoresponder series that you ultimately set up. In this article, I'm going to share some tips for setting up an autoresponder series that will keep your list happy and profitable. The first thing you need to understand about writing an autoresponder series is that the people on your list signed up for a reason. Either it was to get a free report or some kind of newsletter. Bottom line is that they are looking for content and not just a sales pitch. So, make sure that the majority of emails that go out to your list are NOT sales pitches but real content. As you gain their trust, they will eventually become buyers. The next thing you need to understand is that when you are sending a series to your list, it takes people an average of seven times, according to statistics, to see your site before they ultimately become buyers. So, you have to make sure that your autoresponder series runs long enough to make the sale. Running a series for only three or four followups is probably not going to convert many people. There are some marketers that actually have series that run for a whole year. I'm not saying that you need to have a 52 article series running, but a good 10 or 12 should be your target at least. The next thing you want to make sure you do is not hound your list members too much. There are going to be members who will become quite annoyed to find yet another email from you everyday. On the other hand, if you email them only once a month, they may just forget who you are and why they even subscribed to your newsletter in the first place. So when you do write an autoresponder series, make sure that you space out the intervals such that your people don't forget you and at the same time don't want to ring your neck because they've received 12 emails in 14 days. An interval of every 3 or 4 days should keep most of your members happy. |
